The Pitcher's Mound was founded by Lisa Kemme Raio in 1992. It began as a school for pitchers providing instruction of basic and advanced pitching techniques. Over the years TPM expanded to include instruction of hitting, fielding and catching employing former college players. In 2001 The Pitcher's Mound established it's college placement program and it's TPM showcases. These programs were designed to provide members of TPM college recruiting assistance. The TPM showcase camps have been recognized by coaches as one of the premier showcase camps in the nation. That recognition has brought to TPM sponsorships from the following corporations over the years:
Under Armour, Easton, adidas, Louisville Slugger, Diamond and Jugs.
It is the mission of The Pitcher's Mound to provide elite instruction to fastpitch softball players of all ages. Bridge the gap between student athletes and college programs through athletic scholarships. Create career opportunities in fastpitch softball through marketing, administration, field assistance and instruction.
