Morgan MarrMorgan, originally from Vienna, Virginia, was a 4 year recipient of All-State, All-Met, All-Region, All District and All Tournament awards. District Player of the Year, 98,99; Regional Player of the Year, 98,99; Regional MVP-96, Female Athlete of the year, 99; Honor Roll Athlete96-99, currently holds the record for the most wins in JMHS history. She was also the Runner-up Women’s Foundation Sportswoman of the Year in 99. With the help of her team, Morgan pitched her high school softball team to district and Regional championships and runner up in State championships during her tenure. She was honored as one of Northern Virginia’s 100 Greatest Athletes of All Times and was recently inducted into the Madison High School Hall of Fame as the youngest member of the class in 2007. Morgan played for Nationally ranked Virginia Shamrocks for 7 years as one of the starting pitchers and made 7 appearances in ASA Nationals, 18U Shamrocks were ASA GOLD Champions in 2007.
Morgan signed with the University of Kentucky with a full athletic scholarship. While playing at UK, Morgan received the Athletic Directors Honor Roll, 00, 01, 02. SEC Academic Honor Roll 00, 01, 02, NFCA Scholar Athlete 01, and holds the record for the 2nd most wins in a single season 01. Morgan was a member of 2000 SEC Eastern Division Champs team, only team in history to hold this title. She ended her career with the Wildcats in 2002 when she graduated, Summa cum Laude, in three years with a degree in Marketing.
Morgan went on to accept a full academic scholarship at the University of Central Florida where she received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Master of Sports Business Management (MSBM). While at UCF, Morgan became the pitching coach of the UCF Golden Knights Softball for 2003 and 2004 seasons, under head coach, Renee Luers-Gillispie.
Morgan has given pitching instructions for the past 10+ years to many young aspiring athletes, some of which have gone on to receive Division I scholarships to accredited universities.
